Raise money by asking friends, family and colleagues to 'sponsor' you to complete a 'personal challenge' such as a walk, run, bike ride or even a head shave! 

Ask local businesses to sponsor your personal challenge or to donate a prize for a raffle. Speak to your boss… they might be willing to match the amount of money you fundraise. Businesses that provide cash donations or match gifts are entitled to receive a tax deductible receipt, so it's a win-win situation!  

Buy an Eye! Ask everyone you know to make a donation. Tell them that it costs as little as $25 in some countries to restore sight to someone who is needlessly blind

Aussies love a sausagle sizzle, so get cooking! Approach your local hard ware store, shopping centre or community group and ask if you can hold a fundraising event at their venue. Some stores  have permanent cooking facilities.

Ask your local bakery, butcher and supermakert to donate the buns,sausages and sauce so you can make a bigger profit.

This fundraising idea is an oldie but a goodie and can rake in as much as $700 for one days work!!

Everybody likes a bargin, so get cracking and do a whip around your house, your neighbourhood, your town and collect used goods to sell at your garage sale!

How to...Organise a Garage Sale  (24kb)

Have you got something that others want? If not find something! Create a bidding war for a prized possession ie Signed footy jumper, Hoff poster etc and watch your fundraising dollars soar.

Everybody needs to eat, why not do it in style. Organise a banquet at your local restaurant and charge a little extra per head. It's a win win situation, good food, good company and a warm fuzzy feeling of donating to help restore sight!

Ask your guests to make a donation to The Foundation instead of bringing a gift to a special celebration. The Foundation can provide you with gift envelopes which you can include with your invitations (this contribution is tax deductible to the giver).   

Cause Related Marketing-Join forces with The Foundaiton by donating a percentage or fixed amount from the sale of a selected item (cd, book, photos, service).  If you are interested in this idea please discuss it with us. The Foundation needs to approve all items and services.
